Spearhil's Anna Amalia - Charley

Our long waited for & much planned for Charley is the only bitch from our litter & she is all we hoped for taking on many of the positive points of her sire & dam an excellent combination of the two. Charley is kennel named after Karl August's mother & the owner of her sire (the lovely Anna Keen) when looking for an appropriate name Anna Amalia definitely fit the bill as both are lovers of the arts.

Charley is definitely the ruler of the roost holding her own with her male siblings & like all women using her charms to get her own way you'll often see her running off with a favorite toy being chased around the garden. Fun loving & confident she has a very independent nature, I have found as with all female Weimaraners her attention & loyalty is won rather than just given as it is with the males of the breed. I am sure I will be chasing this young lady around very much like her siblings do when training begins.

No shrinking violet Charley has always been one of the first puppies to try the different objects that were given to the litter in the whelping box, she's happy to pick the majority of items including those that her dam refuses & can often been seen carrying something around the garden. Not always things she should have but it’s always nice to see a dog that’s keen.

Charley has big boots to fill but I am sure that she will be a fabulous replacement for Bonnie when she retires I certainly have high hopes for her future & am looking forward to her training which will be starting soon.

Socialising has already begun with a short trip in the car, regular visits to the vets & a jolly to the University bar where she met a lot of the resident students who are staying for the break. I can tell that she is going to be a firm favorite with anyone that she meets.

I look forward to a very exciting future with our lovely independent Charley. Charley had a great day at the CLA Gamefair with four of her siblings, thanks to everyone that came to say hi. Like George she is doing very well with her swimming lessons & takes very much after her dam being a bit of a bin bandit!! A habit we hope to break sooner rather than later....
